With over a decade of distinguished service in the Army, I bring extensive experience, discipline, and leadership to the security industry. My military background has equipped me with specialized skills in crowd management, anti-IED (Improvised Explosive Devices), and a wide range of infantry courses, forming a strong foundation for my transition into the civilian security sector.
For the past four years, I have worked across Europe as a Door Supervisor, Security Supervisor, and Event Security Specialist, gaining hands-on expertise in safeguarding people, property, and high-profile events. These roles have allowed me to combine military precision with practical security solutions tailored to diverse environments.
Beyond operational experience, I am a certified Project Manager (PRINCE2) and hold a Master’s degree in Project Management, which strengthen my ability to oversee large-scale security operations, training programs, and strategic initiatives with efficiency and professionalism.

Before joining DriveSecure, I spent 8 years in customer service—an experience that taught me the value of listening, responsiveness, and maintaining calm under pressure. I’ve also worked in high-stakes environments where situational awareness and quick decision-making were crucial. This combination of customer understanding and operational discipline shapes the way I lead our teams and structure our services.
My role at DriveSecure covers a broad scope—from coordinating on-the-ground security operations to ensuring our financial planning aligns with long-term growth and sustainability. I’m responsible for maintaining service efficiency, managing risk, and delivering value both to our clients and within our internal processes. With certifications in SIA licensing and First Aid, and a particular strength in CCTV surveillance and incident response, I approach each task with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

My name is Zayd Gourashi, and I’m proud to serve as one of the founding directors of DriveSecure Services Limited. With over seven years of hands-on experience in the UK security industry, I bring a blend of frontline insight, operational leadership, and a strong commitment to innovation in everything I do.
My journey in private security began at a luxury celebrity clubhouse—an environment where professionalism, discretion, and excellence weren’t just expected; they were non-negotiable. That experience laid the foundation for how I lead today—with high standards, attention to detail, and a focus on delivering real value.
Over the years, I’ve worked my way up through the industry, taking on senior supervisory and managerial roles. I’ve led security teams of over 30 officers and managed complex contracts for high-profile clients like Cardiff Council, Network Rail, Cardiff Metropolitan University, and the National Trust. These roles helped sharpen my ability to coordinate teams, solve problems quickly, and meet the unique demands of public and private clients.
I’ve spent the last three years heavily involved in council and hostel-based contracts, working closely with vulnerable populations, support staff, and local institutions. That experience has given me a deep understanding of how to balance safety with empathy—and how to deliver security solutions that are both effective and human-centered.
